Car Park
Dear All,
We have recently received a number of complaints around the track to the Scout Hut and the Car Park.
Can I please take this opportunity to remind drivers that the speed limit, including the track and Car Park, is 5 mph. The main reason for this is the Scout Hut is used by a lot of children and we want to keep them as safe as possible.
As we are a village based group there are many children that chose to walk to their meetings, this means that there are likely to be children in the middle of the track going up to the Scout Hut. For this reason we would ask that people drive carefully and if you do come across people walking on the track do not force your way past them but give them room to walk.
As is inevitable in a Car Park you will have a mixture of cars and pedestrians which means that both sides need to show caution. Can people please keep control of their children when walking to and from their cars or walking down the track, there are moving cars and you need to remain visual.
Finally, can I also ask parents that park in the Car Park before or after meetings to be considerate to other users, we have a lot of members and space is restricted, we often see vehicles that have just less than a cars width between them, restricting space for other users.
Kind Regards
Jan
