The Explorer Scout 10th Birthday Celebrations

3 October 2012

Its time to celebrate, so join us for the party of the decade on 17th November 2012 at Skreens Park Activity Centre.
The event is open to Explorer Scouts and Explorer Section Leaders in Essex and promises to be a fantastic celebration of the past ten years of Explorer Scouts.
So what can I expect?
Balloons, Cake, Jelly & Ice Cream, Burger Van, Music from the last ten years, Karoke, Silent Disco, Albert & Kate (yes, they’re back by popular demand), Goody Bags and lots, lots more!
Can we have a sleepover?
By all means! The centre has been booked out for the weekend so you are more than welcome to come on over and stay the night at no extra cost. Just rock up on Saturday afternoon and get yourself ready for the party… then party all night and go home on Sunday morning!
Will there be food?
Yes – we have negotiated with BEAST Active Support Unit to provide the event catering services! They will provide a meal on Saturday evening and a breakfast roll on Sunday morning, and all for the great price of £6 per person. This has to be ordered when you book though, so please check first before adding meal tickets to your booking. They will also be catering for special dietary needs, but you need to make sure you tell us at the time of booking.
Can we use an Event Passport for this event?
Why would you want to? After all this party is for leaders as much as it is for Explorer Scouts. We want Explorer Scouts to celebrate ten years of the section and we want leaders to come along too so we can thank them for all their hard work. Therefore, all participants must be accompanied by a leader with a Nights Away Permit. Event Passports will not being accepted for this event (What a great opportunity to let your hair down with your leaders in the disco – after all, it’s their party too!)
How much does it cost?
The price for the party is £10 per person. Meal tickets are £6 per person (which covers food from Saturday night until Sunday breackfast). Book early to avoid disappointment.
Will there be any activities on offer?
Although we have booked the use of the site for the weekend, we haven’t booked up any activities at Skreens Park Activity Centre – we’re focusing on making sure that the birthday party is the best ever. If your leaders want to book up activities at Skreens Park for you to do, they can contact the centre directly to make the necessary arrangements – Please note that there may be additional fees for equipment hire or instructors, which you will need to check when you make your booking enquiry.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes – the person who makes the booking will be sent a group ticket by email – you’ll need to bring the printed ticket as this will be checked upon arrival and used to check you in.
