The Scout Group are holding its Annual Group Walk on the 11th May 2013. This year is a little different to the previous in that there is no emphasis on raising sponsorship. As well as this the date chosen this year coincides with JOTT (Jamboree On The Trail), which is an event where Scouts from all round the world go for a walk on the same day.
The cost for the event will be £1.50 per child, this will include the cost of your JOTT badge. Adults can attend for free.

One of the activities on Sunday was a circuit of the assault course. Everyone took part, though Eagles were the faster patrol.

Hundreds of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network & Leaders assembled in the grounds of St Botolph’s Church in preparation to parade through the streets of Colchester. The destination; Colchester’s Castle Park, for an open air ceremony, during which each member was able to renew their Scouting Promise.
About a week ago, Google released it Map editor tool in the UK. This has allowed us to mark the boundary of the grounds, and upload some additional information to Google Maps.
